The new bathroom was a highlight, but the shower had terrible water pressure.

Delicious fish and chips that exceeded my expectations.
I was quite disappointed with the inconsistent water pressure in the shower. it was barely adequate. the lack of staff available during my morning check-out left me in a situation where I had to leave the key in the room without any communication. The room itself had areas that clearly needed better cleaning, which made for a less than pleasant stay overall.

the shower didn’t just fluctuate, it practically gave me a hot-cold seizure every few minutes. i also couldn’t believe the pub wasn’t even open to serve dinner, leaving me to SNS my sorrows alone. not to mention, a complimentary drink would’ve been delightful after such an inconvenience, but alas, i guess that’s just expecting too much.

The Copley Arms provided a charming atmosphere, reminiscent of a proper UK southern pub. The inviting local vibe, highlighted by roaring fireplaces and vibrant staff, created a welcoming environment. I particularly enjoyed the top-class food from the head chef, Richard. The bustling restaurant, filled with holiday makers, further added to the warm ambiance, making my evening drinks a delightful experience.
Service slowed during peak hours.

Solo traveler recommendation, exceptional vibes
I had a meal there that was surprisingly good! ! The chicken and Stilton pie was DELICIOUS, and the service was lightning fast—ordered, eaten, and paid in under an hour, which is quite rare. The staff were friendly and genuinely seemed to care about the customers.
It wasn't exactly cheap, but still, worth it for the quality.

Friendly vibe and great dinner!
Had a blast staying here! The staff really made us feel welcomed and even accommodated an early breakfast for us. Dinner was a highlight—so tasty! The double room was cozy and clean, but it could've used a bit more space. The location was charming, perfect for a stroll around town!

The Double Room was really cozy and clean, which was great! It had a nice big bath that I appreciated, and the mini fridge was a handy touch for our drinks. The location of the pub was perfect for exploring. They had good parking. Just wish there was a bit more space since it felt a little cramped at times.
